Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust provides integrated acute and community Healthcare in the West Midlands serving a population of 260,000 residents. Walsall Manor Hospital houses the full range of district general hospital services. The £170 million development was completed in 2010 and we are continually upgrading. Construction of the new integrated critical care unit has commenced and is due to be completed 2017, and plans to extend the neonatal unit are underway.

Walsall Manor Hospital have a vacancy for a locum Specialty Doctor the post is to fill a recent vacancy within the department of Ear, Nose and Throat surgery The post is to commence as soon as possible for a period of 6 months until the Trust make a substantive appointment. The post will be undertaking inpatient, outpatient and theatre sessions and is offered at 10 Programmed Activities per week, the successful candidate will be expected to partake in a non resident on-call rota which will consist of being on-call one night a week but may in the future be merged with a regional weekend on call.
The successful candidate must possess full registration with the General Medical Council with Licence to Practice and have a basic Medical Degree (eg MBBS or equivalent).
Completion of at least 2 years full-time postgraduate training (or pro-rata if undertaken on a flexible/part time basis) of which 1 years or more must be in a specialty training or fixed term programme in Ear, Nose & Throat or equivalent experience and competencies.
Previous NHS Experience is also desirable.
