Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust provides integrated acute and community Healthcare in the West Midlands serving a population of 260,000 residents. Walsall Manor Hospital houses the full range of district general hospital services. The £170 million development was completed in 2010 and we are continually upgrading. Construction of the new integrated critical care unit has commenced and is due to be completed 2017, and plans to extend the neonatal unit are underway.
We provide high quality, friendly and effective community health services from multiple sites covering Walsall. Our multidisciplinary services include rapid response and homebased care, so that those with long term conditions and the frail elderly can remain in their own homes.

Are you an experienced nurse looking for a change in career direction, newly qualified or about to qualify? If you are and are interested in developing skills and experience in Acute Respiratory Nursing then we would love to hear from you.
Ward 17 is the Trust’s dedicated 25 bedded respiratory ward which provides Acute Respiratory Care. If you join our team you will have the opportunity to gain experience in acute respiratory nursing and develop skills in NIV (non-invasive ventilation), tracheostomy & care, chest drains and much more.
We can offer you:
• Mentorship from our supportive team
• Development of Non-invasive ventilation skills
• Tracheostomy care skills
• Respiratory specific teaching and courses.
We are looking for an enthusiatic nurse whom has the drive to support us in taking our services forward. Whether you are newly qualified, have experience within this specialty, or are an experienced nurse from another specialty, if this is you- we encourage you to apply.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
