Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust provides integrated acute and community Healthcare in the West Midlands serving a population of 260,000 residents. Walsall Manor Hospital houses the full range of district general hospital services. The £170 million development was completed in 2010 and we are continually upgrading. Construction of the new integrated critical care unit has commenced and is due to be completed 2017, and plans to extend the neonatal unit are underway.
We provide high quality, friendly and effective community health services from multiple sites covering Walsall. Our multidisciplinary services include rapid response and homebased care, so that those with long term conditions and the frail elderly can remain in their own homes.

We are looking to appoint a Trust Middle Grade in Respiratory Medicine to commence as soon as possible. The post is required to support Respiratory Medicine with both inpatient, Bronchoscopy and outpatient based work with the opportunity to be involved with a new EBUS service. The post holder will be expected to partake on a 1:13 on call General Medicine Rota and 1:16 Ward on call rota.
The successful candidate must possess full GMC Registration with a Licence to Practice a Basic Medical qualification (eg MBBS or equivalent MRCP Part 1: to be able to demonstrate relevant experience and qualifications to undertake this middle grade position: Previous experience of working in General Medicine at FY1/ST1-2 or higher Resuscitation Skills (e.g. ALS). Previous experience in Respiratory Medicine and possession of DGM/MRCP (or equivalent) MRCP and is also desirable.
